Zhang Zhijun

ZHANG Zhijun, male, Han nationality, born in February 1953 in Qufu City, Shandong Province; university graduate, joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in August 1971. He started to work in Heilongjiang Production and Construction Army Corps in May 1969; Enrolled in Beijing University in September 1971 and went to the United Kingdom for advanced studies in October 1973; Worked in the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC from 1975 onward, moving up through Deputy Division Director, Division Director, Deputy Bureau Director-General, Bureau Director-General and Director-General of the Research Office; Shifted to Zibo City, Shandong Province in March 1996 on a training-on-the-job program holding office of Deputy Secretary of the CPC Municipal Committee; Assumed offices of Deputy Secretary-General of the International Department in January 2000 and Vice Minister of the Department in September 2000.
