Pierre Lellouche
Pierre Lellouche, born 1951 in Tunis, Tunisia, is an acknowledged expert for international relations and defense strategy. Mr. Lellouche was elected President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in 2004 and has been a member of the French National Assembly since 1993. In the National Assembly he is Member of the Commission of Foreign Affairs and member of the Delegation for the European Union. From 1989 to 1995, he was Diplomatic Advisor to Jacques Chirac, Mayor of Paris and later French President, and he has held a number of positions in his party (Union pour un Mouvement Populaire / UMP) on foreign affairs and defense issues. Mr. Lellouche is UMPÂ’s candidate for the Paris mayoral elections in 2008. Pierre Lellouche was educated in Paris and at Harvard Law School, where he earned his masters and doctorate degrees. He is a practicing attorney with Clyde and Co., Paris. He has taught and published widely on political-military affairs. Pierre Lellouche is the author of several books including: "Le Nouveau Monde" (1992), "La Republique Immobile" (1998) and "La France et les Bombes" (2000).
