Chief Executive Officer, Damac Properties
Peter Riddoch is Chief Executive Officer of Damac Properties, the largest private sector luxury lifestyle provider in the United Arab Emirates. Prior to joining Damac in 2003, he worked with Majid Al Futtaim Group as Group VP of Property and with FBQHC as General Manager. He also served as Senior Vice-President of Development, Property and Techical Services at Hilton International.
Damac Properties was founded in 1996 and has grown into one of the most successful residential, leisure and commercial master developers in Dubai and the Middle East, and is expanding rapidly into North Africa, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar and the Far East. By partnering with world renowned architects and designers, Damac Properties aims to develop schemes that include residential, commercial and leisure facilities that will create an integrated community.
In Dubai Damac's projects include buildings in developments such as Business Bay, Dubailand, Tecom Zone, IMP and Jumeirah Village. It has launched 79 towers throughout the region over the last five years, at a cost of USD 18 billion that covers the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. In addition a huge USD 35 to USD 40 billion Gamsha Bay project is shaping up in Egypt - one of the largest master developments in the region.
